StepWell for Providers

Your program prevents falls. More families need to find it.

Every year, 14 million older adults fall. Many of them live near a program that could help — but their families can't find it. StepWell is the national directory that closes that gap, in plain language families actually understand.

Evidence-based programs are underutilized — not because they don't work, but because families can't find them

Hospital discharge packets, doctor referrals, and health fair flyers don't reach families when they're ready to act. Search does.

How StepWell connects you with families

StepWell is a simple, searchable directory — no subscriptions for families, no paywalls, no friction. Your program appears when a family nearby is actively looking.

1

You submit your program listing

Tell us about your program — format (in-person, virtual, hybrid), location(s), target audience, and what makes it evidence-based. Basic listings are free forever.

2

Families search by location and need

When a caregiver in your area searches for fall prevention programs, your listing appears — written in plain language they understand, not clinical jargon.

3

Motivated referrals reach you directly

Families are already convinced a program is needed — they're looking for which one and where. They click through to your website or contact you directly.

4

Your program fills seats, not just waitlists

More visibility means more participants, better utilization, and stronger outcomes data — the foundation for continued grant funding and program growth.

Questions from providers

Does my program need to be NCOA-certified to be listed?

NCOA certification (or equivalent CDC-recognized evidence base) is our current bar for inclusion. If your program has peer-reviewed research supporting its effectiveness, we'd like to hear from you — reach out and we'll review it together.

How long does it take to get listed?

We review and publish basic listings within 3–5 business days. Growth and Pro listings are typically live within 1–2 business days after we confirm your program details.

We run the same program in multiple cities. How does that work?

Basic listings cover a single location. Growth listings support up to 3 locations — ideal for regional providers. Pro listings include unlimited locations, which is the best fit for statewide or national programs.

Can we list a virtual or online-only program?

Absolutely. StepWell surfaces in-person, virtual, and hybrid programs. Many families — especially those with caregivers in rural areas or with transportation limitations — specifically search for virtual options.

What do families see when they find our listing?

They see your program name, a plain-language description of what it involves and who it's for, format (in-person/virtual/hybrid), location(s), cost, and a link to your website or contact page. We deliberately avoid clinical jargon — the goal is clarity for caregivers and older adults, not credentialing committees.

Can we cancel a paid listing at any time?

Yes — paid listings are month-to-month with no contract. If you cancel, your listing returns to the free Basic tier rather than being removed entirely.
